Trying to pick a pregnancy test is like standing in the cereal aisle at 7a.m. with no coffee – there are 47 options, and they all claim to be “fast,” “accurate,” and “life-changing.” One’s pink, one’s digital, and one says it can detect pregnancy before you even ovulated. You end up walking out with three different brands, chocolate, and a bottle of wine, in case you’re just bloated from gluten the previous night. Here are some top picks for that special moment. Because nothing is worse than a blank screen staring back at you.

personally preferred these simple sticks and I’ll tell you why. While fancy digital sticks are great to get the confirmation in words. I used those after the fact. I found the first response early detection sticks to detect the hCG in my urine more accurately than other tests. What does that mean? Well I took 2 packs of these tests daily, while missing my period, and saw the faint lines increase every time, while others came back negative or didn’t even work.

My sister told me about these digital tests and I ended up trying a few in the beginning but they came back negative. It was only a week after the faint positives on the First Response sticks, did I see the clear blue say pregnant.
